John, have you got some foliage colour variation?

Sorry I missed this question John.

Very little if any variation in your seedlings here. Initially there were about a dozen pure white-leafed seedlings but after a month or so none were left.

All are growing away now.

Perhaps you have seen enough red flowered Roscoea purpurea for the moment, but I can't resist a few more.
I visited Keith and Ros Wiley at Wildside Garden this morning and these are the red seedlings that Keith has named.
Initially he started breeding to get a pure red flowered plant with purple leaves but he got such variety among the seedlings that he has named
seven of them. He has selected for plants with broad labellums and most of them seem taller than average to me.

Since I was there, and you might be interested, here are a few pictures from the quite remarkable garden at Wildside.

Hi John,
my seedlings are about 3 inches tall now and growing fast. Tiny pseudostems, some pure green some slightly tinged. They will get darker as they develop. If they are pricked out into individual pots now there is a chance of some tiny flowers before the end of autumn.

It's great to see wider shots of [Keith's] beautifully planted garden. I always feel we get way too many close-up photos of individual flowers here and not enough images of the way people's gardens look and feel.

Not his garden David...

I must say £6.50 for a good plant in a 2lt pot is a bargain whether you are buying 1 or 200!

Keith has raised some superb plants there, though shame about the dull naming. He could have been a little more creative.
