Re: Hoya imperialis
Wow, that's quite something, simply stunning! Next year we will be delighted to welcome a Hoya specialist coming from Andalucia in our 15th Rare Plant Show, which will be held on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th April 2017. She promises to bring a very nice colection.

Re: Hoya imperialis
Sadly no fragrance at all Charlie they were massive sized blooms though.
Jose it was amazing to see such a stunning waxy flower you cannot believe what emerges from that first photo.

Re: Hoya imperialis
The literature says it is night scented with a 'heavy' scent reminiscent of Gardenia.
Not knowing this genus at all I looked for a .
Perhaps I'll sick to the internet for this one!
Chad.

Re: Hoya imperialis
I think it's a characteristic of Hoyas to be scented at night. I have H. carnosa indoors. It's undetectable during the day, but often overpowering at night.
