Re: cordyline revisited
Neat Cordyline Phil that purple strain always looks a bit tatty over in the Uk the lower leaves always seem to go a bit fungusy (not a real word) brown colour. Does that particular one have similar on the lower leaves?
There is one coming back from our -11c winter a few years back with multiple stems so they are quite root hardy.

Re: cordyline revisited
If I saw one,I would add it. Something about grassy tree's I can't resist. I seem to have them like others collect palms. Phil, are those pillars of red BEGONIA'S? I had thought they were Bougainvilleas on you're first post. Do you know what variety? I have red Dragon..but its on the porch in a small pot. Hard to imagine its the same Begonia.

Re: cordyline revisited
Thanks Stan; I didn't realise it was a begonia. I remember someone asking what it was on Hardy Palms & subtropical Board so I guess I'll let them know.

Re: cordyline revisited
That's the first purple Cordy I've seen. Red Star in hot sun here is Bronze Star. Not even the Cordyline banskii cultivars are purple. Those who have them should take care of a very uncommon find.

Re: cordyline revisited
Phil, Is this the only place in Sidney where these purple cordylines grow or are they more common?

Re: cordyline revisited
I don't know; I guess I'll have to keep a look out. And if I find one, check for fungusy brown under the leaves.

Re: cordyline revisited
Splendid cordy - they look like crap in southern Japan. And that is one big begonia!
