I germinated them all in a small plastic pot kept away from radiators and Windows and in the dark and they all germinated over 2/3 months. The first after only couple weeks. I checked on them every few days and cleaned the seeds regularly and changed the sterile compost a couple of times to reduce any liklehood of fungal or bacterial attack. As they germinated I removed them and potted them up separately. |

Hi friends, I have some fresh seeds (2019) from Juania australis that I would like to sell. They were obtained from a small plantation, they do not come from the Juan Fernandez Islands. Anyone interested? |

It's not quite chilly enough(summers) here for those Chilean palms. Only 20 miles away in San Francisco they do well. |

Kev, it looks like you were able to strip the flesh without soaking them first. Is that so? |

Nice one, Kev. Mine were exactly the same and I was able to remove the flesh pretty easily. They are also now soaking like yours. I added a splash of hydrogen peroxide to help break down any remaining flesh, and it also helps with disinfecting too. Was planning on leaving for a day or two before giving the seeds a other clean and then placing in a ziplock bag with sterilised sphagnum. |

Alberto those were the seeds after the fruit casing had been removed. I have sterilized some multi purpose compost in our microwave, don't tell Jackie, I then placed the seeds in this growing medium in a plastic zip loc bag and placed it on a windowsill. |
