Plant health advice needed
Hello everyone - I have a question, has anyone experienced phytotoxicity from household flea sprays? I use them on an occasional basis and have never had any noticeable effect on my plants. Due to my current brand being out of stock I purchased an alternative - basically wherever I used this spray some of my plants have developed large blotches of what looks like dead/dying tissue and tips and leave margins on some have darkened. It just seems coincidental that I use this spray and this happens. I've given all plants a drench and will do again. Most noticeable on my bananas and soft leaves plants but also a couple of my palms. Do you recommend cutting the effected leaves off? Any help/advice will be appreciated.

Re: Plant health advice needed
ingredients pyrethrin and cypermethrin
I've purchased liquid seaweed fertiliser as a booste and will water them all thoroughly again to try and help them remove any toxins. I'm just not sure if removing the leaves will help or make it worse.

Are there any other ingredients listed? Pyrethrin is one of the oldest organic insecticides and has a long history of being used on plants, including my own. (I've had to stop using it as it can be very bad for cats...)
Could be spider mite and a dry atmosphere drying the leaves.

I wonder if it has any oils in it that could have suffocated the leaves in conjunction with the other ingredients????
