Post subject: | Victorian Box survives the drought- barely. |
I was by my old grammar school (granddaughter now uses their pre-school) and saw that this tree- at least 50 years old-was making a fine comeback from 2 years of no summer water-they had stopped watering the grounds in summer- and what we had from winters. I tell you..last summer it looked near death. You could easily see through it,the canopy had dropped that many leaves. Its not the deep green, solid canopy it used to be..but I've seen this tree since I was 12. We are both still around. Pittosporum undulatum. Bonus Ponderosa Lemon,Hoss! |
