Post Drosera binata. EASY to grow carny.
It bought it in June of 2014. Still going as new foliage is unfurling. As you can see,its much happier than the sad Venus flay traps now out for sale. There are bigger types of Drosera binata including a giant hybrid. If that's as easy to grow- snatch it up asap if run across it. Not evergreen...but its good for 9-10 months of the year growth.

Drosera binata dichotoma gigantea. I had one overhere for many years. It got killed one winter by to much frost! Damne winters always overhere...

multifida "extrema" is another of the bigger forms of binata.
Mine though seems pretty average. Might pot it into a bigger one and give it more space to develop.

I haven't killed mine yet - comes back like a champ every summer and even flowers.

They should flower like crazy in Japan, here in the UK i've got rogue seedlings popping up in all my other peaty pots.

Drosera capensis is usually hardy in the UK as well.

Years ago I had a labeled "dichotoma". Snails ate it. I also had the idea back then, they liked some shade. Wrong. They like full sun and I put there peaty pot inside of a ceramic container with no drainage. Every few weeks I pour that water out to prevent a chance of salt build up.
