Pretty sure this was supplied incorrectly named, any suggestions please?

That is not a Trachycarpus takil. Its a T. fortunei. I myself have seen a lot of Trachycarpus takil in the Kalamuni Area in India. T. takil has a kind of fluffy brown stuff at the base of the leafestalks. I have young Trachycarpus takil here grown from seeds I have collected in the autumn of 2011 in the Kalamuni Area near Munsyari, India.
