Poncirus trifoliata (or Citrus trifoliata) is a citrus that grows and fruits fine in the UK.
The fruits aren't really edible, but some cultivars can make fine marmalade, comparable to bitter orange.

I'm not sure about the UK for those, but in Northern France I grow Yuzu (Citrus junos) outside in pots, and Satsuma mandarin might be fine in a sheltered location. My mandarins are still quite small so I'm not taking chances yet, though.

Which types have managed to survive winter at your place?

The small plant in front might actually be a young Poncirus trifoliata. I think I can see large spines and trifoliate leaves.

Mark, I have a citrus planted in the ground but I cover it for the winter so I am not sure if this counts. It flowers and fruits. Fruits are on the small side and not very sweet but I can't expect more as we don't get summer heat.

Can anyone identify this plant, i'm sure it's a large Citrus and was heavy with fruit when I passed it last summer?

wow- Just today I was where some Citrus was being sold and I saw "Yuzu". I think it was recommenced for marmalade and very hardy also.
I bought a Santa Rosa Plum and Hass Avocado. Now,I'm committed to at least five more years of life.
