Pandanus utilis?
I ordered one. It came labeled that. So why does it not look like one? Anybody seen what very young P.utilis look like? It looks more like P.tectorum.

Looks like one to me, especially with the red leaf margins. Looks a bit etiolated though! Do they grow outside in the Bay Area?

Thanks James!..I'm giving it a shot. They are said to be hardy to 28f..and we haven't been that cold since 1990. Hopefully never will be again. They grow fine in coastal soucal..and Hayward has spring to fall warmth the equal of that. So,I'm 90% there. I was told that it looks greenhouse grown. It does have that not a blemish on it look of a greenhouse. That will end!
Update on plant after a few days of direct- and sometimes hot- summer sun.
