Plumbago
Common in California,but I think the world likes the blue shrub too.

My experience is that they grow fine outside in the UK against a warm wall - They just dont flower!
I too have that deeper blue flowered form which is a huge improvement on the normal pale blue

Then perhaps with global warming we will all be growing them soon! Sitting here in my caravan in a cold, wet and blustery Wales in the middle of the SUMMER holidays I just can't see it at this very moment.
