I wont even begin to name them. Carlos has to I will say some are in the cloudforest of 75f temps or so...and then the 80+f of the lowlands. Feel free to point out whats what. Alexander- they have one wing of live butterfly's. It was great. They had a small pond..isn't that dangerous to the butterflys? I might link this to other boards, so many photos. I HIGHLY recommend you see them full sized. click on image again. Then you see the tiny jewels here anf there. I have an Anthurium and Palms post later.. THE END. |

Really great pics! Thanks for sharing! It's been several years since I've visited the conservatory of flowers. It was nice then, and now it looks even nicer. My favorite is that red Aeschynanthus with the maroon leaves. I wonder which one it is. I've been pretty happy with the . One drawback is that it never produces any seed pods. I think I remember trying to cross pollinate it once, but didn't have any success. , on the other hand, sure produces lots of fruit. It helps that it stays in bloom nearly all year long. Have you grown any epiphytes from seed lately? |

No try on seeds Carlos. Its hard to keep the Lipstick type plants in a tree- go dry so fast. For pots- they are great. Here's ant plants too- |

Oh my what wonderful displays it must have been a great treat to be able to walk round such plants. The wall is to die for I have always wanted to try a fern wall but have never gotten round to it.....hmmmm The only place I have seen those large bromeliads growing outside, your 4th shot, is outside Betty Gartens orchid nursery in Madeira they are simply immense. Thanks for taking time to post the shots here Stan much appreciated |
