Many plants have come and gone from the porch- most grew too large (Stephanotis,Ficus,Rhapsis are a few) and I simply planted them out. Others, are recovering from some plant disaster. Caused by me or animals or weather. Whats interesting is how it worked out that my Orchids mostly are those that bloom in winter or the cool of spring. I dont have a single summer flowering Orchid here. I need to point out- its mid day and the light is hazy from the forest fires 60 miles north.
Here we go-
'Chirita Chastity' I had planted this in the back yard 3 years ago. A huge mistake. Slugs and other things nearly ate it to death. Its now back to the last time I posted it looking good after I dug it up and put back in a pot.
Neoregalia carolinae tricolor. Years old. I do have to thin out the all green pups. Since 2009.
A Supermarket Brom. I've forgotten the best guess name for it. With Stromanthe sanguinea. Its another story of adapting to the outdoors. I even divided it.
Begonia boweri. It really took off with a mild organic fertilizer.
This and that Orchids.
Adiantum 'Pacific Maid' It nearly died after most of it was eaten by a Possum in my back yard.
Last (2016) Mothers Day gift for the Wifey. With some kind of Chain Crassula.
Other side of Orchid bench.
A mish mash of extra plants with Spathiphyllum that it turns out is hardy with shelter. Blooms in summer too.
This is a Nepenthus that has grown in two summers with me..but pitchers are not coming to easy. Now that its higher then the railings things might change.
Thats it for now- thanks!
