Its the second time..last time it was just a lean. THIS,looks fatal. I can't expect to prop something this big with a weak root system. it might might just fall over forward and on the Mango. |

Ah,I decided to cut it down. Too big and heavy with winter coming up. I went at it with a bowsaw..I got where the base of the nanner was too wide for the saw,so stopped. A few day later- I see it not dead...but new growth. Fine with me if it grows leaves on 2' of trunk. Nothing to fall and crush other plants. I never thought this would be the result. |

It will probably be fine Stan. I'm trying to kill my Basjoo for a year now and it doesn't accept defeat. It is too big to dig up and it is too close to other shrubs, trees and the plumbing of the pool so it unfortunately had to go. |

Thanks Thur..just noticed yesterday..its still trying to push put a leaf in our short days and very brisk nights. Days not bad- in the 17-19C range. Sunny. |
