1st post ! Schefflera
OK here goes my first post ! Hello all ! Thought I would have a go at these schefflera's I keep seeing ! So I've bought this schefflera taiwaniana , £18 +p&p good buy ? Am I best to keep it on a widowsill on the dry side until spring ? Any advice welcome Thanks rob

A good deal Rob and nice plant, yes keep on the dry side, I have killed one by too much watering in winter. When you plant it out, its worth noting, to try and plant it in a place that is quite dry in winter not an easy find I know!
I have lost 3 from rotted trunks the remaining 4 that are left are in very winter dry places......just saying!

Whilst I agree with Kev regarding wet roots it is important to remember they require cool conditions in Winter also. If you are leaving it on a window sill make sure it does not dry out too quickly inside your warm house.

OK thanks for the info It's in a unheated room that one I will day get round to finishing as a bathroom !
