Can anybody enlighten me please? I am a bit puzzled because I am seeing adverts for Cordyline australis verde and am not sure whether this is a species or not. I am aware of C. australis and C.indivisa. I have some australis seedlings and not going to try indivisa as I have read they are too difficult but what are Verde and how suitable are they for the West Midlands climate?

I have seen some advertised as well and to me they just look like Cordyline australis. Verde is latin for green for which the said Cordyline is the colour for. As for Cordyline indivisa ....I have managed to keep mine alive for over five years now but would agree they are more difficult to grow than C australis not liking too much heat and enjoying a regular misting on its leaves during our cool summers..... which is probably why it's still alive

Thanks for the reply Andy, I did not know that and could not get any joy by Googling it but it makes sense now. Nice work with the indivisa, I have read people saying they are very difficult to keep alive so perhaps with a bit more experience under my belt and knowing that tip I might put it back on my seed wish list.

Cheers Tim
