Stan, that 2nd pic could have been taken in many areas of Oz, with the Eucs and the Araucarias on the horizon. And then I saw the Acacias! Incidentally, I've read it often, from many scientists, that it's false that Acacia blossoms are responsible for allergies. Evidently their pollen is too large to be of any harm, and that it's merely a coincidence that they bloom at the same time as the real culprits, grasses, throw out their pollen.

Ian,I was advised that it might be Acacia delbata. I'm not one sensitive to nature's pollen or soils.or dogs and cats dander..I've always been outdoors since I was a kid.
I dont use gloves and masks and all that. Never have.

Besides I was also just told that Acacia allergy's is a myth.

You know Ian,we have some huge century old Auracaria's in town. The second largest Cook Pine.. huge Bunya Bunya's. A few 100 year old + Norfolk Island Pine here and there. They are only outdone in height by Redwoods or maybe the oldest Washingtonia palms. I know from the local raised monorail train- BART- You can see those tall tree's side by side. Blue Gums would be the other great giants.

No, that's not A. dealbata. Those long inflorescences are wrong shape. More like A. longifolia, but without a close-up of leaves and bark, just guessing...
