That is magnificent! The trunk is totally awesome - never seen one as good.

I wonder how long it will take my 'broomstick handle' trunked plant to get a little bit of character? :)

Many old tree's in this area Paul go back the old Nile's Nursery started around 1870. Same for the Ficus macrophylla I post every few years and the giant Wine palms..all a short drive from each other. There's even an old Kari tree...that old nursery is closed and I cant wander in to look at it like before. From the outside its blocked from view by many other old tree. This is the area to find old and unusual.. :roll:

They are some old ones on the French Riviera but I've never seen one so big before.

Every now and then I take a picture that ...looks a little artistic. I like how the sky's came out on this Cherimoya photo. ( a semi tropical fruit tree)
