I´m not 100% sure, but I do think it is a chamaerops vulcano. What do you think?

Re: VULCANO??
Yes, very definitely. A couple of weeks ago I had the immense pleasure of visiting the nursery on Sicily where these were selected and are now grown by the thousand!

Re: VULCANO??
Hi, Paul and Kevin: No, it isn´t in my garden. Mine is less than a meter tall and with no seeds. That´s why I picked as many as I could. I can´t give it enough heat to do so in my climate. Though it keeps healthy with this, too much rain, we are suffering for the past three months. I wasn´t sure about it because they look very similar to Ch. Hum. Cerifera, which I also have in the ground. At a close observation, they differ quite a lot, but "one never knows"

Re: VULCANO??
Neither have I. Not seen in public parks. Maybe in private gardens. On second thoughts, Chamaerops humilis does easily set seeds over here, and heavily. I´ve sprouted them by the dozens. That´s what I intend to do with the Vulcano seeds I have picked.

Re: VULCANO??
Good clue there, Paul. You are right. Look at mine
And the thorns
And, now, the Cerifera
And it´s black thorns
For the same reason, this one must be Cerifera too, right?
