The ficus grow quite big here
Madeira is very hilly island but houses are built where ever possible and if you have not got a good view, where you live, you are very unfortunate indeed

People often ask whether is better to have a hire car or go by bus they are plenty of buses here but.....
I'll stay with the hire car
Nothing out of the ordinary here, in the local park, just a few Cyathea cooperii and Angiopteris evecta.
Looks like wild growing Xanthosma growing here with their purple stems.

Where ever you go in Madeira there are Agapanthus growing by the roadsides
Nearly had an accident here, believe it or not, neither of us wanted to give way .......I lost.

If and when you visit be sure to visit the Pico areeiro absolutely beautiful views above the clouds.
