Note to prospective members
It is a forum policy that new members are required to use their real names - at least their first names - on the board and to supply their real first and last names when submitting their membership applications. Full names are not displayed on the board and are known only to the administrators.
Due to the large number of spammers applying for membership (averaging about 15 per day at present), we are adopting a much less tolerant policy on this point, simply because it is taking far too much time to vet applicants and check their details.
All new applications have to comply with the following rules:
1. The user name must include the applicant's real first name, at least.
2. The "full name" field must include the applicant's real first and last names, separated by a space.
Any applications that do not comply with this will be deleted without being checked.
Older members who already have user names that do not contain their real first names do not have to change their user names. However, they should put their real first names into a signature, which can be edited by going to "user control panel" and selecting "profile" and “edit signature”.
