Re: Epiphyte Tree
Maurice, ohhhh! Hah.
Noticed some different seedlings growing in the cup of one of my Billbergias. A cheery tomato had fallen into the cup and the seeds all germinated. So I placed the clump of seedlings on my tree. While I was at it I included a random Nasturtium seedling. Nasturtium leaves and flowers are great in salads...so in a few months I might have a decent salad cascading from my tree within arm's reach. Too bad the pregnant onion that's growing on my tree isn't edible!

Re: Epiphyte Tree
More of "Nothing's going to change my world" ! Always loved the Beatles. Anyway's, I added Rhipsalis pilocarpus that was strongly attached to a Trachy palm- nothing, not even hurricane winds would budge it. It took all I had. I did this time wrap it in Canadian sphagnum moss..the good stuff. So it will recover much faster. Nothing rare...but what is there is thriving. Even the old Ash tree itself looks impressive. Before I never watered it in summer and had Junipers next to it..some large branches died. It's just looking lush now with the extra water. I was worried that rot might get it as its a western native..but no. Problem free.
