Re: Schefflera delavayi
Hi Tim... sorry to hear the Metapanax delavayi did not survive. I managed to get my plant from Pan Global Plants on a visit there last Summer. They also had Davidii but not when I visited. A pic of my delayayi

Re: Schefflera delavayi
Andy, your Metapanax delavayi is a beauty. Please post updates as Metapanax grows fast. I enjoyed it very much.

Re: Schefflera delavayi
Gigantic lustrous leaves of S delavayii
but not in the same class as S macrophylla
and the much derided Crug form of Fatsia polycarpa is a fine thing when given a chance
However coming soon is the other big daddy Fatsia megaphylla-or whatever one cares to call it

Re: Schefflera delavayi
The Schefflera looks great after winter. It was protected with a 6 mil poly sheet and a string of mini Christmas lights.

Re: Schefflera delavayi
Mmm, is 'great' a relative term Tim? Definitely M. eurybracteata or M. x savilleana Steven.

Re: Schefflera delavayi
Nick........if a plant is green in February, then it looks 'great' I see little damage so far, then buds are swelling for a spring flush.
