2014 California's hottest year- by far.
We smashed the old record of 57f with a 61f average. Usually a half degree rise causes alarm..FOUR is huge.
Anchorage Alaska had its first winter since records started in 1888 without a sub zero (F) recorded.
And of course Stan reports,Croton's fully foliated- and not just mine- I saw one at Walmart outdoors looking perfect. Brazilian fern tree seedlings are doing perfect. Delonix still in feathery leaf. Like an evergreen Albizia.
Today I fully expected a cool 60f day. It made it to a mild 69F.
If next winter is milder then this winter?..should I enjoy or worry?
No,its not the 1970's when so much I tried died off in winters. I even took a look, and our coldest days over 7 or 8 months of the year (this was a few days ago I was reading) happened in the decades of the 70's. Next coldest? the 80's.
