Trip to Plant base
We visited Graham last Sunday. It was a loooong drive but totally worth it. I have bought plants from him before but you don’t realise what treasures he has till you visit his nursery. In my garden I have the usual tropical plants like Trachy, Butia, Chamaerops, treeferns, etc but I have a special interest in South African and Australian / New Zealand/Tasmanian plants.
Here is a list of what I bought :
PLANT BASE -November 2017
- cussonia sphaerocephala - hakea victoria - aulax cancellata - calothamnus validus - grevillea leucopteris - banksia media prostrate form - banksia serrata - banksia canei - melaleuca trichophylla - melaleuca squarosa - melaleuca hypericifolia - gompholobium scabrum - callistemon viridifius - acacia victoriae - regelia velutina - casuarina cunninghamiana - pultenaea juniperina - psoralea fleta - isopogon anemonifolius - pittosporum dallii - bossiaea scolopendria - cotyledon orbiculata - manfreda elongata - daviesia pectinata

Good heavens Maya ... that was a long drive I thought Oxford to Bangor (Crug farm plants) was forever. Still I'm glad you enjoyed it and you have come away with some amazing plants. When you get the chance please post some pics

Re: Trip to Plant base
Maya, That's a good list of plants. A long drive, but seems well worth it. I met Graham earlier in the year at a RHS show in London Bought a few Proteas off him. Would have bought a lot more, but was travelling home on the train
