The Platyphylla just always blow me away  . I also always enjoy your Concour's de elegance de Cycads. I feel like I should wear not garden gloves, but those fancy black ones to see if there is lint on even on leaf. It matters.

My C. circinalis is flushing. I thought it was going to skip a year..but no,its come through. The old fronds is a debate to myself if I should cut them all off?..they didnt hold up well to a late December cold wave...still,they are not all out shabby. A tough decision for a plant that adds fronds just once a year.

Sometimes removal of old and unsightly leaves
stimulate growth for a new set!

Slow? Its only April. Outdoors here its at earliest the second half of summer they start generally. I have Dioon that I think is D.spinnulosum as its caudex and ability to flush on less sun then my old and big D.edule has me guessing. I dug it up last year as it was in too much shade. Just two long roots Bucko. When I had planted it from a pot..it had a rootball. Gophers? Or is that what they do when planted in earth?
So now I want to put in the ground in more sun. We will see what happens.
