Re: What's your plant of the moment?
Hyssopus officinalis ssp. aristatus the dwarf, compact form of the common hyssop.
The dark intensely blueish violet flowers are too die for at the moment. A few of the leaves sprinkled over hard boiled eggs, mayonnaise etc. aren't too bad either.

Alberto that is a nice Xanthorrhoea. It must be fairly mature, they grow so slowly! I wish I could see some of those close to home instead of travelling to southern California.

Re: What's your plant of the moment?
Wow Alberto that is an impressive inflorescence does the flower emerge from the very centre of the plant does it have any distinctive smell to it?
Pete I just knew I should have bought "Liittle Gem" I have Magnolia grandiflora here and it just keeps growing and growing without even a hint of a bloom.

I'm less on the very rare and more on what looks colorful nowadays. This is Echeveria apus,a hybrid of E.pullidonas. Btw,Not that I would turn down a very rare..I don't seem to make it to those specialist nursery's like I used to.

Persian Shield. Its not only a few years old ( I thought it was an annual or very short lived plant) its much larger then I thought it could get. It looked so bad after the last winter. I wasn't sure if it was going to live. Made a nice comeback. I highly recommend for the eye candy look.
