Oh,that's a beaut. Flowering too? I hadn't even thought of that yet for mine. How old is that N.veitchii? Those photos can'[t be enlarged. So,you might want to resize them.

Mine is holding up to chill. One night of ~4C. Cold, and not many 10C nights coming up. Or days much over 13C. The dead of winter.

Stan, yeah flickr was being difficult, fixed now. It's about 5 or 6 years old, pretty slow growing over here in our short summers and this one likes it warm. Its flowered for the last few years, i have a couple of seedlings off it out in the greenhouse.

Even better..the ruffled foliage is very nice. I didnt know any Nepenthes grew those. N.vietcheii, something to look for.

I was coming in today toward the evening and I saw the wind knocked down a pot... One of the Cattleya's or hybrid. Its in bloom, photo tomorrow.
Its now tomorrow.

I drove by this house..I've seen this Ficus go from a large houseplant put outdoors..to an unruly shrub they had tied rope around to pull together. Today I saw it pruned for the first time...and I saw the Ficus benjamina and variegated Shefflera arboracola behind it- Avocado in the back yard. Much nicer as a small tree.
The bay area for the first time in my lifetime is joining the Ficus club. ( excepting F.nitida and F.carica)

Cheers Josh it would indeed be a pity to see GOTE slip by into oblivion.

For me I still have pink oleander flower buds trying to open which is unbelievable at Christmas time.

Stan, your pictures always make me feel warm, even today on what might just be the coldest night of the winter so far. Thanks for posting them!
