Hyssopus officinalis ssp. aristatus the dwarf, compact form of the common hyssop.

The dark intensely blueish violet flowers are too die for at the moment.
A few of the leaves sprinkled over hard boiled eggs, mayonnaise etc. aren't too bad either.

True. If I had seen anybody I would have told them, a $5 piece of 8'black rebar,driven 3' deep, and some heavy duty mono line would hold it up forever. Or those dedicated rubber plant ties. Better then the bad Eiffel Tower contraption they have going.
