Great looking Rhododendrons Anne. This is a fun time of year. The leaf underside on the Wine and Roses is very attractive. Keep the photos coming.

I suddenly have compelling reasons to be interested in Rhododendrons, which I will explain in due course.

As a result, I spent a couple of hours photographing them (in the rain) at Glendoick near Perth in Scotland last month. When I have the time to edit about 100 photos, I will post the decent ones. Because it was raining, I had to use my phone instead of my DSLR.

David - I will send you a Facebook private message with a file attached containing an article from the Rhododendron, Camellia and Magnolia Group (England).
This article showcases new growth on Rhododendrons. Perhaps I already shared it somewhere where you could have seen it. Regardless, will share it again.
Mo has seen the article already.

Awaiting your photos from Glendoick. I check here periodically in anticipation. Downloading and cropping take time - I know.

Anne

P.S. Don't know if or how I can post a file here.

For good measure, here is a post from another topic here on GOTE - Rhododendron rex ssp. fictolacteum

Thanks for the photos Anne. I'm not sure which is my favorite, perhaps basilicum.
