Which graphics program(s) do you use Garry?

Photoshop Elements 6.0 - Why, is it causing you problems?

No - not at all. I have Elements 4.0, and I don't think I could do some of those things with it!

Peter.

Er...praps we won't use that one..thanks all the same.

I've just installed Elements 6, and had a quick play. I like the scope it provides for fancy text.

And the sharpening is rather better now than it was in V4. This is Neoregelia concentrica or a N. concentrica hybrid in the Flecker Gardens in Cairns.

Arguably belongs here, too:

May I put in a vote that we retain this beautiful banner for a second month?

Every time I log on it makes me smile.

I've had my fill of preparing banners for now, so I think it can stay 'until further notice'.

The text needs improving, though.

Only the "An international forum..." bit. The main title is fine.

Peter,

Garry also has a panorama from Tresco that might be suitable for a forum banner:

I feel the header banner should be a graphic, and not photorealistic, to set it apart from photos within postings. And photos are usually bulky and slow to download compared to graphics. I'm open to graphic art alternatives to the current banner. They do have to be expandible width-ways to be compatible with the expandible board format. That is another reason not to have a photographic banner. The current one achieves the required expandibility by having left- and right- justified text-gifs floating over a repeat-pattern wallpaper.
