Hi Guys. As this board is being started from scratch, and we are finding and figuring our way around how to set things up, there will be issues that arise. Please bear with us as we have to fit things in with our busy working life as well (well, certainly mine!)

Hi everyone, many thanks to Peter for setting this up so quickly, and to those who've been helping out. I'm using Safari and it all looks fine. The image is confined to the central part of the screen, with a large border either side, but I take it that this is a deliberate "look". Now I'll have to work out how to post images, since I don't have any web albums. The name of this forum seems particularly appropriate for those of us with coastal gardens!

Look what I've found:

Quote:
For anyone else that finds this topic - the error:

Failed sending email :: PHP ::
DEBUG MODE
Line : 234
File : emailer.php

will occur if "User email via board" (in General Admin/Configuration) is NOT ENABLED. Once I enabled it this mod and the email functions worked beautifully!

I hope this helps.

Carol, not sure if I logged out...

Try if this works:

Quote:
Go to the ACP->General Config->Scroll Down near end->Set the SMTP.

Make sure you select "Use SMTP Server for email" to YES.

By setting the SMTP they probably mean the login + password + name/ip of the smtp server.

The most likely reason why this problem is intermittent is because it will only happen if the originator has the "Always notify me of replies" option selected in their profile.

because:
Sends an e-mail when someone replies to a topic you have posted in. This can be changed whenever you post.

Petr, I have the option to notify me of PMs with an e-mail, but not the option to notify me of replies. But I still get the error message intermittently.

EDIT: as indeed I just did.
