Post A repeat of 2010 Winter or worse?
It's being spoken about in the forums and pooh poohed by many but for me I am worried about the way the weather patterns are setting themselves up currently.
So instead of reading the daily diet of tabloid stories I look to the respected Atmospheric and Enviromental Research organisation. Here is their report from October '16 and it doesn't look good for another mild Winter.

They point to specific Predictors through previous studies and research and in the Impacts section the reading looks ominous.
As many people have said ... no one can forecast the future but be prepared as we weren't in 2010

This study leaves the door open for a 'readjustment' if his models prove to be unfounded. It's still science talk for flip a coin.
If you prepare for winter like we do every year, there shouldn't be an issue.
I'm not poo pooing anybody who wants to be prepared for armageddon, I just don't feel we have enough insight for a real accurate long range forecast
