Water restrictions
Barrie,
I didn't realise you also had an outside watering ban. We went to stage two restrictions here just as I was about to leave on a two week road trip. I had to cancel the trip. We are keeping things alive by using recycled water. What upsets me is that if we had gone away on our trip and had my neighhbour water for me, we would have used less water than staying home.

Re: Whats your weather
We've had an extended period of warm weather for ages, but it looks set to drop back to average over the next couple of days. Yesterday was 28c, today about the same, but the next two days will be about 22c. There will even be a bit of snow above 1700m in the Snowies.

Re: Whats your weather
That made front page news on the national newspaper today here. The worst seems that there's no predictable end to the ash plume or where it will effect. A thick heavy ash cloud over my place would seem to be an ugly forecast.
Cheers ... best of luck there Kev, Barrie.

Re: Whats your weather
Good one Kev ... One always hates an ash cloud. I've read that this recent activity may be an indication of things to come. Volcanic activity in the area and subsequent glacier melting could spur on more volcanic episodes. Who knows for certain?
Cheers, Barrie.

Re: Whats your weather
It was glorious here on Saturday Adam, 16C and I actually got sunburnt. Sunday was cooler, 13C but still pleasant. Yesterday was terrible, 4.5C up until 4pm when the sun finally came out. Not bad today but there's a wicked cold wind just to spoil everything .
