Down here on Tasmania's east coast its been close to the driest winter on record only getting 14mm of rain all winter . http://news.smh.com.au/breaking-news-na ... 112f5.html Here is a pic taken over the hill from my place - just as dry as it was in summer . average winter temps so far have been 14 c |

For Hobarts latitude, warm AND dry in winter surely is exceptionally unusual. What is going on with the global weather right now, it's seriously unstable! (I know it's the solar min) |

14mm of rain is crazy low, considering you should be getting 50mm for July alone. Hold onto your hats. Are bush fires a serious problem in Taz usually? |
