We gonna get some here. Well better they move strait to the northpole! Well Scotland seems mostely to get the crappiest weather of the UK. Well that is what I often see on the BBC. Can not help it! To move Scotland to a southerner latitude, lets say 30 degrees North, would be nice, but impossible I am affraid. Alexander |

Just been reading about the wind and damage on here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-14872365 Glasgow and Edinburgh saw gusts of 72mph and 76mph respectively so it has been a windy old day. Plenty of rain has been falling over the Southern Uplands and out towards the west and north west as well. |

That sounds like a stiff breeze! It was quite windy here too during the last days. |

We're getting a full on soaking from a Pacific front moving through late yesterday. Fairly heavy rain overnight, easing this morning to light showers. Temps staying no cooler than 15°C overnight, but no warmer than 19°C for today. Not as bad as hurricane Hilary, barely visible (bottom right) off the coast of Mexico. Cheers, Barrie. |

It's very unlikely Kev as the Pacific will push it ashore long before it even reaches California. We're more likely to get remnants of typhoon Roke from Japan as it crosses the Pacific. Looks like lots of activity in the Carribean region too. Cheers, Barrie. |

The most recent push of warm air is coming from near the Hawaiian Islands. Last nights low was 18°C and humidity is up. With the sun today it could quite easily reach 80°F / 26.6°C. Rain returning sometime tomorrow Autumn is officailly here in the Northern hemisphere. Cheers, Barrie. |
