serial posting
Posting a string of posts back-to-back is somewhat of a flamer's strategy for drawing out an extended rant. I'm displeased to see it started here (). With an EDIT function there is really no excuse for following-up one's own posts. I'm wondering if the board can be set up so as to disallow self-replying to one's own post until that post has been replied to by a different party. I've seen that feature on other boards.

I have not noticed such a facility with this software (phpBB2). I will have a look on the Administrator's control panel and get back to you.

Had a look, cannot see a provision for dis-allowing serial posting. The nearest thing phpBB2 offers (so far as I can see) is a timeout limitation that prevents people from posting two posts less than a chosen number of seconds apart. It is currently set to ten seconds.
Peter.
